INSURANCE FRAUD ARREST

A 43-year-old Century woman has been arrested for trying to defraud automobile insurance company. Trisha Milstead, was charged a felony count of insurance fraud by the Florida Department of Financial Services Insurance Fraud Division and was booked into the Escambia County Jail Monday on a $10,000 bond. Milstead was involved in a vehicle accident on September 8th of last year, but at that time her vehicle policy had lapsed for non-payment. She reinstated the policy on September 9th and signed a statement that there had been no damage to her vehicle. Two days later, she filed a claim for another traffic accident, but that claim is believed to be fraudulent.
