POSSIBLE TATE HIGH SCHOOL DRUG OVERDOSE

WEAR TV 3 is reporting that Escambia County School District Superintendent Malcolm Thomas said two Tate High School students were sent to the hospital for a possible drug overdose last week. Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the high school for a possible drug overdose after two students smoked an unknown substance in a vape pen and became disoriented. That pen is now being tested. Superintendent Thomas says the district conducts random drug tests on students who drive to school or are involved in extracurricular activities. The two students who were hospitalized are okay, but their future in the school district is unclear.
