The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a murder. Around 11:15 yesterday morning deputies were called to the 2100 block of Spink Lane, off North 9th Avenue, where they found a man who had been severely beaten. The victim was able to talk to deputies, but died after being taken to a local hospital. The man’s name has not been released and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office or call Crime Stoppers at 433-STOP.
