Eglin Air Force Base may feel some negative effects from funding plans for the Border Wall. Money programmed – but not yet allocated – for two construction projects for the base could go to the construction of the border wall under terms of President Donald Trump’s declaration of a national emergency. Congressman Matt Gaetz, said 34.9 million dollars intended for an F-35A training center and a proposed 28 million dollars for an F-35A student dormitory, are part of the 3.6 billion dollars in military construction funding that President Trump could tap for construction of the border wall. Gaetz said even without those facilities F-35 training at Eglin AFB will go on.
