Escambia County Fire-Rescue says a home was heavily damaged by a fire yesterday. It happened around 10:00 p.m. in the 1500 block of Bedgood Lane and arriving fire crews found a single-story structure with fire coming from the front and the home was a total loss. No one was injured, but five dogs died in the fire. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
