CHARGES AGAINST SCHOOL BUS DRIVER DROPPED

The State Attorney’s Office has dropped charges filed last year against an Okaloosa County school bus driver who left an 8-year-old disabled student about a mile from her Crestview home. Anthony Campbell was charged last May with one count of child neglect. The investigation revealed the bus driver was not advised of any disabilities or infirmities on the part of the child and had followed all school transportation department guidelines. With the case thrown out, Campbell may be eligible for reinstatement by the School District.
