MS-13 GANG MEMBER ARRESTED

The U.S. Attorney’s office said an alleged member of the MS-13 gang   was arrested in Pensacola last week. 31-year-old David Ernesto Nolasco Soriano, of El Salvador, is wanted in Maryland for murder, attempted murder and extortion. He was arrested near Cordova Mall by the FBI and the Pensacola Police Department. Soriano was part of an indictment in 2018 that charged more than two dozen alleged MS-13 members with the murder of five individuals and the dismemberment of three of them. U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles J. Kahn Jr. ordered the U.S. Marshals to transport Soriano back to Maryland to await trial. MS-13 is a national and international gang that has been functioning in the U.S. since the 1980s, and whose members come primarily from El Salvador.
