MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says a new suspect has been arrested for a home invasion robbery that left a Pensacola man pistol-whipped and beaten to death. On February 14th, deputies were called to an apartment in the 2100 block of Spink Lane and found Willie Wilson bleeding profusely from a head wound. Wilson told deputies he let three men whom he knew into his residence and he was then beaten with pistols. Wilson later died of his injuries. Warrants were obtained for the arrests of Jesse Square and Cordarin Simmons. Now Investigators say 19-year-old Leroy Benjamin Jr. has been charged with home invasion robbery and booked into the Escambia County Jail on a $2,000,00 bond.
