ARMED ROBBER ARRESTED

An Escambia County man has been arrested for an attempted convenience store robbery that happened over two years ago. On July 3, 2016 the store clerk of the Circle K on Mobile Highway said a man – later identified as Napoleon Grandison – entered the store wearing a black hoodie and told the clerks he had a gun and to open up the register and give him the money. Grandison punched one of the clerks, but the other clerk was so frightened he could not open up the register, so Grandison grabbed the register, but fell and ran out the door without the cash register. In October of 2016 Grandison was arrested for another robbery and investigators saw in the surveillance video the shoes worn by Grandison in that robbery matched those worn by the suspect in the first robbery. Grandison is being held in the Escambia County Jail on a $378,000 bond.
