Pensacola Police are warning residents about a scam involving gift cards. Several people have reported they have received calls from someone posing as a federal representative, telling them they owe money to the federal government and they must buy a gift card or go to jail. In some cases, the suspects tell the victims their computers have been hacked and their passwords are needed in order to secure the computer. Anyone who has received such calls should contact the Pensacola Police Department.
