The U.S. Geological Survey says another earthquake has been reported in our region. Five days after an earthquake occurred near Jay, a second quake was reported in Flomaton, Alabama, just north of the state line. The 3.1 magnitude earthquake occurred around 1:30 p.m. Monday and was centered just south of the intersection of U.S. 29 and Welka Road. It was strong enough to be felt, but too weak to cause major damage.
