Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents have arrested the Clerk of Court for Holmes County. 38-year-old Kyle Hudson is charged with participating in an organized scheme to defraud, official misconduct, and money laundering. The charges stem from travel expenses submitted by Hudson beginning in 2017. Auditors said Hudson submitted travel vouchers for several conferences and meetings, but he did not actually attend the meetings or they never happened. Hudson submitted fraudulent receipts and received $6,000 in taxpayer money as reimbursements. He was elected Clerk of Court and Comptroller in 2012.
