The federal courthouse in Pensacola has been been closed to the public again because of concerns about COVID-19. Chief U.S. District Judge Mark Walker issued an administrative order closing the Courthouse and the Winston E. Arnow Federal Building until further notice. The courthouse was closed previously and reopened on June 17th. Initial appearances, detention hearings and arraignments for both the Pensacola and Panama City divisions will be conducted before Magistrate Judge Martin A. Fitzpatrick in Tallahassee until July 24th. Additionally, any individual arrested on federal charges in the Pensacola and Panama City divisions will be transported to Tallahassee for detention.
