COLD CASE DEATH INVESTIGATION

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help to solve a cold case involving human skeletal remains found in inside of a mobile home near the 7,000 block of Pine Forest Road 16 years ago. The body was never identified and the case remains open. The Sheriff’s Office has released a sketch of a facial reconstruction that was drawn in 2004 based on the remains. It shows a Black male between the ages of 35 and 55 with an average build, 5’ 4” to 5’ 10” inches tall. Clothing found at the scene included Levi jeans, a large “Blue Starter Shirt,” running shoes, a gold necklace and a blue cap with the words “Butler Transport” written on its front. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department or call Crime Stoppers at 433-STOP.
