Escambia County School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas says the start date for practices for fall high school sports will be delayed until Monday, August 17th. The start of school in Escambia County has also been delayed until August 24th. The sports include football, volleyball, golf, cross-country, track, swimming and diving. Superintendent Thomas said when practices resume social distancing protocols and proper sanitation measures for training equipment will be followed.
