The headquarters of Air Force Special Operations at Hurlburt Field says one person was killed and another injured in a shooting during a domestic disturbance at the base in Mary Esther Friday afternoon. The Air Force is withholding identification of the deceased until after family notification. The incident began around 4:30 p.m. as a reported armed domestic disturbance in on-base housing. Michele Nicholson, public information officer for the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said the department’s special response team and its crisis negotiation unit assisted. Not additional information has been released.
