The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says the recreational harvest of greater amberjack reopened in Gulf state and federal waters on August 1st. This season is scheduled to remain open through October 31st. If you plan to fish for amberjack you must sign up as a State Reef Fish Angler prior to your fishing trip.
