Escambia County Emergency Services says one person was flown by air ambulance to the hospital after a near drowning at Pensacola Beach  around 12:40 pm yesterday. The victim was pulled from the water a mile east of Park East. Lifeguards and Escambia County Fire Rescue personnel started medical treatment, but no other information has been released.
