Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says the Hurricane Michael Homebuyer Program for counties impacted by Hurricane has been relaunched and the funding for down payment assistance doubled to 10 million dollars. The program is expected to launch on September 1st for residents in the counties affected by Hurricane Michael that include Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty, Taylor, Wakulla and Washington. The loan program offers below market 30-year fixed rate first mortgages coupled with up to $15,000 for a down payment loan. The down payment loans will be 0% interest, non-amortizing and forgivable at 20% per year over five years.
