Eight employees at the Popeyes on Saufley Field Road, who walked out after they were told they could not wear their ‘Black Lives Matters’ and ‘Black Votes Matter’ masks, have been fired. The employees range from cooks to assistant managers. The employees said they walked out because they were told to remove their masks, although they had been wearing them since June. They say they plan to take legal action and believe the firings were racially driven.
