The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department says a suspect in that triple shooting in Century has been arrested. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the shooting around 11:30 Monday night in the 8200 block of Alger Road. Joseph Smith, was found shot to death outside a shed near the mobile home. Two other adult males, Xavier Walker and Lavor Johnson had suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Walker said 3 armed males forced their way into the house, where Walker and Johnson were shot in the leg and Smith was taken outside where the men demanded money, then shot him multiple times. The Sheriff’s Department says 26-year-old Jaran was arrested and booked into the Escambia County Jail with no bond. A second suspect, 22-year-old Tacorius Stallworth, is still being sought as is the unnamed third suspect.
