Governor Ron DeSantis announced the three major hospitals in Pensacola will be among the first hospitals in Florida to get the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine once it receives authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. 367,000 doses of the vaccine will be sent to 173 hospitals in 43 counties across Florida. Other hospitals in the Florida panhandle to get the vaccine include: Gulf Breeze Hospital and Jay Hospital in Santa Rosa County – Fort Walton Beach Medical Center and Twin Cities Hospital in Okaloosa County – Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Bay County and Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Washington County.
