Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson says a couple from Jay who were arrested last week are accused of committing sex crimes against a child who he said was the youngest victim that he had ever seen in 38 years of law enforcement. 38-year-old Brandi Harper and her boyfriend, 35-year-old John McKenzie, were arrested on January 13^th, charged with two counts of capital sexual battery on a victim below the age of 12. Authorities say they found sexually explicit videos on McKenzie’s cellphone. The victim is believed to be 2 to 3 years old. McKenzie and Harper were booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail without bond. Sheriff Johnson said more charges are expected.
