Publix has announced that beginning at 6 a.m.today, eligible people can begin making appointments for COVID-19 vaccines available at many Publix stores statewide. The grocery store chain said the following people are eligible to make an appointment:
Health care personnel with direct patient contact
Residents and staff of long-term care facilities
Adults 65 years old or older
Vaccination appointments are scheduled online only. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or the Publix Pharmacy. Customers with insurance will need to bring their insurance card, and customers without insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.
