The Crestview City Council has approved an ordinance that will allow alcoholic beverages to be legally sold in Crestview during hours that match those in Fort Walton Beach, Destin and in unincorporated areas of Okaloosa County. Previously, Crestview had prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages from 4-7 a.m. Monday through Saturday and from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. The new ordinance took effect immediately, and allows people in Crestview to buy alcoholic beverages starting at 7 a.m. Sunday instead of having to wait until 1 p.m.
