Pensacola City Councilwoman Sherri Myers is sponsoring an ordinance that would allow people to keep up to two miniature goats as pets inside the city limits. The goats only reach about 23 inches in height. Current city laws ban the keeping of any livestock in the city limits except for pot-bellied pigs. The ordinance would require the miniature goats to be kept behind a fence and have an outdoor shelter with clean, dry bedding. The City Council will be voting on the ordinance tomorrow.
