The Perdido Landfill is closed and will reopen tomorrow morning. As a result, ECUA sanitation collections this week will be delayed by one day. Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday and the remaining weeks’ collections will follow in the same manner until all collections are completed on Saturday.

Escambia County and Century offices will be closed for all nonessential personnel. Also, all locations of West Florida Public Libraries – Escambia County Tax Collector – Escambia County Supervisor of Elections Office – Escambia County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller. Escambia County Area Transit will suspend all bus and UWF Trolley service until noon today or until road conditions are considered safe.  Law enforcement will monitor bridge conditions to determine if any bridges or overpasses should be closed because of icing.
