Santa Rosa County officials plan to rent the old Bealls department store in Milton as a COVID-19 vaccination site for the entire county, with a goal of delivering 1,500 coronavirus vaccines each week. The contract calls for a six-month initial lease of about $44,000 a month. County officials hope to have the clinic open Monday through Friday beginning March 1st. The site will be run by the county’s Emergency Management Department and the Department of Health in Santa Rosa County. Ascension Sacred Heart will provide extra staff for the facility as needed. Eligible residents who want to get inoculated at the Bealls location must register through the state Share Care’s system. Residents can register online at myvaccine.fl.gov or by calling their county-specific phone line.
