PANAMA CITY BEACH BASE JUMPER VICTIM ID’d

Panama City Beach Police have identified a 31-year-old man who died after he jumped off a Panama City Beach resort with a parachute that didn’t open Sunday evening. The man was identified as PCB resident Timothy Ackerman, who jumped from the 23rd floor of the Sunrise Beach Resort. Responding deputies found Ackerman’s body in front of the building. Police remind everyone it is against the law to trespass and there is no legal place in Florida that allows BASE jumping.
