The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department said a suspect is in custody after a weekend standoff with the Department’s SWAT team. The case began Saturday afternoon about 1pm when deputies were called to the Blue Angel Grocery near Olive Road and Whitmire Road about a report of shots fired. Nobody was injured during the almost hour-long standoff and the suspect was taken into custody.
