The Gulf Breeze City Council has voted for Mayor Pro-Tem Cherry Fitch to fill the mayoral seat vacated by the resignation of former Mayor David Landfair two weeks ago. Councilman Tom Naile was voted Mayor Pro-Tem. The mayor’s seat was left vacant after Landfair’s sudden resignation on January 18th, just over a month after he was sworn into office. Landfair said inappropriate texting with an adult woman was the cause of his resignation. Council members will have to fill the seat vacated by Cherry Fitch.
