Yesterday the Florida Department of Health reported the lowest daily number of new COVID-19 cases in three weeks. The 8,892 additional cases were the fewest since July 9th and the 77 deaths were also the state’s lowest daily toll in two weeks. Florida has reported 432,747 cases of the disease and 5,931 resident deaths. There were 9,036 people hospitalized Monday because of COVID-19, leaving hospitals across the state with a 24.3% bed capacity and intensive care units at 18.6% availability.
