Escambia County schools will resume normal operations today. School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas said the district will make adjustments to assist families still dealing with the impacts of Hurricane Sally. He said all school district employees are to report to their work today. Thomas said internet connectivity may be an issue in some places and that the district is working on a plan for remote education. He said the district has about 250 portable hotspots it can issue to high school students with the greatest need, and a similar number for middle and elementary schools.
