The Florida Department of Health says there were five COVID-19 cases in Escambia County Schools including one student at Bellview Middle School and one teacher each at Oakcrest Elementary and Washington High School. An “unknown” case was reported at both West Florida High School and Cordova Park Elementary. However, the School District reported 17 positive cases – 11 students and six staff members. The school district also reported 301 students were excluded from school on October 16^th because they had potential contact with a known case.
