Longtime Pensacola City Council member P.C. Wu, lost his election’s recount by just three votes to challenger Jennifer Brahier for the District 1 seat. Brahier won the general election by just five votes, and the close margin of victory triggered the automatic recount. During the recount Brahier’s vote total was one fewer than what was found in the first count. However, overseas military members’ votes could still affect the race. They have until Friday to get their ballots in. Supervisor of Elections David Stafford said there were about five military overseas ballots from District 1 still out. Wu, has served six terms on the City Council.
