The Trump administration has announced the U.S. Department of Agriculture will continue to provide free meals to all children through June 2021. The program was originally set to expire at the end of the calendar year. The program is intended to ensure children have access to nutritional food during the coronavirus pandemic. The extension also allows schools and local programs to continue to use the Summer Food Service Program   to provide no-cost meals to all children.
