The National Park Service and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating after a body was found on a sailboat near Gulf Breeze. The body was discovered inside a 25-foot sailboat on the north shore of the Naval Live Oaks Area at Gulf Islands National Seashore on Sunday afternoon. The National Park Service’s law enforcement unit began working what they believed was an abandoned or illegally camped sailboat and found the body. There were no signs of foul play and the scene was processed by the medical examiner’s office and the FDLE’s crime unit, An autopsy is scheduled to determine a cause of death and identify the body.
