Publix will resume scheduling COVID-19 vaccination appointments at its pharmacies in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties today. The program was paused last week because winter storms across the country caused shipping disruptions. Appointments are open to residents 65 and older or those who are frontline health-care workers. Appointments can only be made by going online to: publix.com/covidvaccine and will be available beginning Monday, March 1. Vaccinations are provided at no cost, but those with health insurance need to bring their card to their appointment. Customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.
