A 25-year-old Pensacola man, charged in the U.S. Capitol riots in January, will have his case prosecuted in the District of Columbia’s federal court because the alleged crimes occurred in Washington D.C. A federal judge has allowed Tristan Stevens, to remain out of custody while he awaits court dates. He is a University of West Florida student without any criminal history and is unlikely to be a flight risk or a danger to the community. He was charged with a series of federal crimes from his participation in the January 6th riots.
