PANAMA CITY WHISTLE-BLOWER FIRED

 

Two days after he filed a whistleblower lawsuit against the city a Panama City employee has been fired. John Paul Jones, former senior logistics manager claims the city retaliated against him after he questioned if it illegally purchased Christmas lights last year. A termination letter to Jones from City Manager Mark McQueen stated that he was fired for showing a lack of cooperation with his fellow employees, that McQueen had lost faith and confidence in his ability to serve as logistics manager, and that his working style and manner of communication is not a good fit for the city of Panama City.
