Florida Panhandle residents who have uninsured losses resulting from Hurricane Sally have until December 1st to register with FEMA for disaster assistance. SPEED LIMIT LOWERED

The Escambia County Commission has lowered the speed limit on a portion of Stefani Road from 40 mph to 35 mph from West 10-Mile Road north to West Roberts Road. The change was made after complaints from residents and subsequent traffic studies. The change creates a consistent speed limit on Stefani Road.MORE

SANTA ROSA COUNTY POLITICAL SIGN ARREST

The man wanted in Santa Rosa County for stealing a political sign has been arrested. 70-year-old John Sanborn, of Milton, was booked into the Santa Rosa County jail on one count of larceny, a Second Degree Misdemeanor. Further details regarding the incident have not yet been released.MORE

AMENDMENT 2 PASSES

Florida residents passed Amendment 2 – barely – which increases the minimum wage of workers up to $15 per hour by 2026.
