STREET MURAL REMOVED

A “Trump 2020” mural was removed from a Pensacola street yesterday after it was painted overnight. The mural was at 12th Avenue and East Hatton Street and Police discovered it yesterday morning. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened in the parking lot of the Pensacola Interstate Fair early Saturday morning. ESCAMBIA COUNTY SCHOOLS REOPEN

The Escambia County School District says all schools will be open today, and all employees will report to their work sites as scheduled. A few schools were still without power midday Thursday, but Gulf Power said all schools would have service restored by today. No major damage was reported to district facilities.MORE

BAY BRIDGE REPAIRS

The Florida Department of Transportation says the Pensacola Bay Bridge did not sustain any additional damage during Hurricane Zeta.   FDOT has three bridge contractors on site to expedite the demolition of damaged spans.
