WASHINGTON COUNTY HAYRIDE TRAFFIC CRASH

ESCAMBIA COUNTY SCHOOLS REOPEN

The Escambia County School District says all schools will be open today, and all employees will report to their work sites as scheduled. A few schools were still without power midday Thursday, but Gulf Power said all schools would have service restored by today. No major damage was reported to district facilities.MORE

BAY BRIDGE REPAIRS

The Florida Department of Transportation says the Pensacola Bay Bridge did not sustain any additional damage during Hurricane Zeta.   FDOT has three bridge contractors on site to expedite the demolition of damaged spans. POWER OUTAGES

Gulf Power says more than 50,000 customers lost power in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties because of Hurricane Zeta. The company says about 45,700 customers, mostly in Escambia County, had their power restored within 12 hours.
