FAMILY DOLLAR STORE DAMAGED BY FIRE

Escambia Fire Rescue says a weekend fire destroyed a house and damaged a Family Dollar Store on Davis Highway. Additional fire units were dispatched and the fire was brought under control just after midnight. There were no injuries reported and the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.MORE

Escambia County officials say another 800 people who applied for an Escambia County Family CARES grant should be receiving their $3,000 checks soon. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a 36-year-old man on multiple active warrants.
